Sketchbooks are research books for your curiosity. They are portable pads to take note of any ideas you have wherever you go! They reflect your thought process and become a home for your creative energy.

In this workshop we’ll learn watercolor techniques and share ideas around how to keep and maintain a sketchbook practice. You will receive a personalized sketchbook kit containing some of Julie’s favorite tools. Together we will dive deep into a creative mindset, recruiting our body, mind and spirit to work together. About Julie

Julie is a Seattle based artist and designer with a BFA in painting & drawing.

"Painting and drawing have always been a big part of my life. I started my path learning traditional oil painting, enamored by it’s luscious quality. Watercolor is on the other side of the spectrum, extremely light, agile and sensitive. It can be unforgiving and unpredictable but I believe those qualities are also what make it so wondrous. I will be sharing my personal methods for keeping a sketchbook and cultivating a colorful painting practice.”
