Warm Sunsets Print

A vibrating mixture of synthetic magentas with yellow earth. Embracing the sensitivity and bloom of fine manufactured pigments alongside static earth pigments. I created this painting in the seaside desert town of Lobitos (Peru), where I watched the sun set behind the sea every evening.

The minimal shapes and cavernous openings speak to my soul. It tells me how simplicity can be enough. How watching a sunset can be entertainment enough. How spending my day in an empty way is enough. There’s a prismatic sense, a reflective quality and a softness to it all.
